Christopher E. Press, FACHE

Prior to co-founding Morgan Healthcare Consulting, LLC in 1999, Mr. Press was an executive with community and faith-based hospitals and healthcare systems in the Midwest and South. He returned to the provider side in 2009 as president for a hospital and its physician practices. Returning to MHC in 2014, he helped launch HemeXcel Resources, LLC a coast-to-coast network of leading blood centers (supplying approximately one fourth of the US blood supply) as its principal executive officer until 2016.

His practice areas focus on change and service innovation as well as strategic planning and implementation. This includes the important matter of coordinating strategic management with performance improvement, as well as service innovation and new service development. He is experienced working with governance, management, front-line, and medical staff.

His professional experience spans strategic planning, operations, performance improvement, facility design and construction, mergers, and marketing. He served as vice chairman of the Ohio legislature’s Study Committee on the Future of Public Health; on the faculties of The Estes Park Institute, The Healthcare Roundtable, and American College of Healthcare Executives Congress on Healthcare Administration. Since 2000, he has been an adjunct Assistant Professor at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University where he has taught management courses to MPH candidates.
